General cargo vessel Melas first class renewal in Naval Shipyard Print

 On 22nd of April  2015 ship ”Melas”  of the Ship Owner Schiffahrts GmbH&Co KG started the class survey. For that vessel it is not only the first renewal of the class but also first visit to the Naval Shipyard. The scope of works includes hull HP washing, sandblasting & painting and if necessary, after survey: piping works, dismantling of a rudder plate with seals replacement. Besides that, there is to be provided, modification of the propeller cap which includes mounting of the equipment that helps reducing fuel consumption (from Ship Owner’s  delivery). In addition to this, there will be carried out modernization and repair works on exhaust and oil systems of main engine.

The ship survey is expected to be completed in 12 days
