ANOTHER AGREMENT ON THE REPAIR OF THE WARSHIP ORP „ORZEŁ” Print

 On April 19th 2014 the Naval Shipyard S.A. made an agreement with the Command of Gdynia Naval Harbour on the „ Dock repair of OP 291 along with the purchase of the storage battery”.
The overhaul will be caried out solely by the  Naval Shipyard S.A. from June 2nd 2014 till March 30th 2015.
Within this overhaul, the Shipyard will also exchange worn-out set of storage batteries for the new one.
The storage battery is a basic element of the power transsmission system of this warship.                  
All works related to the assembly of the set of storage batteries require a very large precision, accuracy and preservation of safety requirements.
The Naval Shipyard SA. is the only the shipyard in Poland which carried out the exchange of storage batteries on the Polish Navy submarines and thus has necessary in this field experience and implemented pruduction technologies. At the moment,  the Shipyard fulfills also the agreement on the repair of armaments and underwater weapons of the warship ORP Orzeł (abbrev. OP 291) while at the end of January 2014 the Naval Shipyard SA fulfilled another agreement on “The repair of ballast tanks, converters nos. PO-20-50 and PO-20-400 and regulation of the windlass”.
