The repair and modernization of salvage and rescue boat R-15 ORP Maćko
On January 12th 2015 has been started the repair and modernization of salvage and rescue boat R-15 (ORP Maćko). The planned repair and modernization of the boat is taken untill the end of October 2015. Scope of works includes: hull’s maintenance, repair of overboard and bottom fittings, maintenance of fresh water tanks, ballast tanks, fuel and sewage tanks, repair of main engine (6AL20/24D), repair of navigation appliances and communication, radiolocation and sensor devices, repair of shaft line and steering gear, overhaul of main engine and rest of auxiliary devices along with their systems as well as renewal of accommodation's crew outfitting.
Furthermore, within the confines of modernization will be done following works: renewal of lifesaving equipment and specialist appliances for underwater and diving works connected with the ORP „Maćko” tasks as well as modification of anchor and positioning system (mooring- anchoring equipment). It will allow to execute underwater works and perform tasks related to search and identification of underwater objects ensuring divers safety. It is also planned to modernize decompression chamber and install LARS system (Launch and Recovery System in the open diving bell) for divers with container 10’’ for running and controlling of diving works until 80 meters of depth.
