THE COOPERATION AGREEMENT |

The agreement of cooperation between the Naval Shipyard S.A. in Gdynia and the French concern DCNS – Direction des Construction Navales Services was signed on the 1st of March in the legal seats of the Naval Shipyard S.A. The signature of the French party was affixed by the President’s Proxy of the French Board Xavier Marschall, and the Polish Party was represented by the President of the Board Roman Kraiński and Operations Director Robert Roszkowski. This agreement was made in order to develop both corporations (the Naval Shipyard and DCNS). The Naval Shipyard will be able to offer modern solutions in new technologies meeting the needs and expectations of domestic and foreign customers. |
The agreement concerns building submarines and vessels, their modernization as well as long-term maintenance of the Polish Naval vessels in operating conditions. Transfer of new technologies between the French concern and the Naval Shipyard should guarantee the programme of building new submarines for Polish Navy. According to Managing Director DCNS Bernard Planchais – ‘this agreement is a sign of long – term involvement of DCNS in cooperation with the Shipyard. It also reflects a great will of opening towards new markets.’ The President of the Shipyard Roman Kraiński emphasized that ‘partnership with DCNS is a new element of Shipyards’ transformation and will comply with clients’ expectations’ |
