m/v Nordic Diana class renewal successfully completed Print

On 25th of September m/v Nordic Diana left the Naval Shipyard after the successfully completed  class renewal. The cargo vessel , of a Dutch ship owner came into use in 1996. Standard reviews, repairs and coating works were conducted by shipyard’s professional staff. The class renewal covered mainly the hull, coolers, boilers, valves, anchor equipment,  all needed smaller  repairs and steel works.

On Saturday 19th of September a cargo ship m/v Jennifer Benita , of Dutch flying flag,  entered the Shipyard for a class renewal. The cargo vessel was built in Daewoo Mangalia in Romania and it came into use in 2000. The class renewal will take about 16 days. Our professional staff will carry all needed inspections and provide: sandblasting, painting, cleaning the tanks, sealing replacing. The mechanical maintenance will cover  the propeller, propeller shaft, steering gear and thruster. Shipyard technicians will carry out also ordinary maintenance on coolers, boilers, valves and some smaller equipment. The overhaul is expected to be completed by the beginning of October.

Naval Shipyard S.A. in Gdynia participated in the 18th International Maritime Exhibition BALTEXPO 2015, held on 7-9 September 2015 at the AMBEREXPO Exhibition and Convention Center in Gdansk. BALTEXPO is the biggest and most renowned exhibition of maritime sector in Poland, continuously organized from 1982.

This year edition was full of conferences and seminars which main topic was dedicated to the maritime industry. One of our representatives, the Commercial Director Mr. Paweł Banaś took part in the conference titled: “ADVANCED SHIPBUILDING AND OFFSHORE INDUSTRY IN POLAND”, presenting the main characteristics, potential and the offer of Naval Shipyard S.A. in Gdynia.

The Shipyard’s stand was full of guests as well from Poland as from abroad, having meetings with our professional staff. The attendees were interested mainly in the shipyard’s civil offer related to the repairs, new buildings, modernizations and conversions of the ships and special purpose ships.

On 8th of September the container ship m/v Nestor entered the floating dock at Naval Shipyard, where the class renewal will be provided.  The container ship of Antigua Barbuda’s flag, came into use in 2000. Our staff will carry all needed works like: sandblasting and hull painting, cleaning the tanks etc. The maintenance will also cover  the propeller, steering gear and thruster. Our technicians will carry out also ordinary works on coolers, boilers, valves and some smaller equipment. The anchor and anchor chains will be e also covered by complete renewal. All contracted works are going to be completed on time in period of 20 days.
